Chanderi silk cotton with kantha stitch floral design - Blue
Product Details
Blue Chanderi silk cotton with kantha stitch flowers worked over it. Two traditions in one saree. Chanderi comes from Madhya Pradesh and is known for its sheer, almost transparent finish, while kantha is a running stitch from Bengal, originally used to quilt old cloth into something new.
The stitching is done by hand, so the line wavers slightly. That waver is how you know it is kantha and not machine embroidery.
